Ingredients:
1 packet Six Gun Chili Mixin’s
2 lbs ground beef (or ground turkey, if you prefer)
1 sweet onion, diced
1 red bell pepper, chopped n' diced
1 zucchini, chopped
1 ear of corn, kernels removed (or 1 cup frozen/canned)
1 (14.5 oz) can diced tomatoes
1 (15 oz) can kidney beans or pinto beans, drained and rinsed (optional)
1 cup water
Olive oil for sautéing
Directions:
Stir Up Yer Mixin's:
Take out the largest pouch (brown Mixin's) from your Six Gun Chili Mixin's and mix it up with one cup of water. Set aside.
Turn Up the Heat:
Drizzle a little oil in your pot or cast iron pan, then sauté the diced onions until they're translucent. Then brown your meat in the same pan.
Spice It Right:
Pour in the diced tomatoes, then stir in the water and Mixin's mixture. If you fancy some spice, go ahead and throw in that little red pouch from your Mixin's bag. Here's our spice guide:
Add Yer Favorite Summer Veggies and Beans:
Go ahead and dump in your diced bell peppers, corn, zucchini, and heck, throw in some okra and beans if you reckon.
Simmer for 30 Minutes:
Leave your pot uncovered, then LEAVE IT ALONE! Let all those mixin's marinate and simmer on low for 30 minutes uncovered.
(Optional) Stir in the Masa Flour Mixin's:
If you need somethin' to thicken it up, mix the Masa Flour Mixin's pouch (found in your Six Gun Chili Mixin's pouch with a little bit of water until it's a batter consistency. Mix it in your chili for a thicker stew consistency.
Cowboy Tip:
This chili’s even better the next day – if there’s any left! Want it spicier? Toss in a chopped jalapeño or a pinch of cayenne with the spices.
